I’ve seen this question asked a lot of times so I’m going to take it upon myself to answer it.
I’m not sure about the exact date but the main site, Digital Point Solutions, was started in 1995.

Digital Point Being Sued
Today I browsed the forum and a thread titled “I have tried to be civilized” caught my eye.
Seems as though adcnet-uk tried to get their username changed and was unsuccessful.
It also seems like he is threatening to sue Digital Point for not changing his username, something about copyright laws.
First off, when you register for a forum, YOU choose the username. You aren’t given a username or a list of usernames to choose from. YOU choose it. It was YOUR decision to sign up with your business name. If you knew you would want it changed, you should have just signed up with the username you truly wanted.

I know i was stupid to trust a guy named “hacker” who post about porn sites on this forum…But i tought that becuz he had 11 pos feedback, he was trustworthy.
Yes it was stupid to deal with a guy named “hacker”. It was even more stupid to deal with him based on his iTrader, knowing his previous posts history was related to porn. That doesn’t exactly spell out “T-R-U-S-T-W-O-R-T-H-Y”.
I wanted to trade 43$ Paypal for 41$ Moneybookers. He pmed me saying he would do it if i went first, because he had 11 pos feedback and i had 3.
There’s your second red flag. You should have resisted and asked him to go first. iTrader is nothing to base deals on. I can buy iTrader for a penny or a blow job if I wanted to.
When they see he is ignoring me, they will probably return the payment to me….Well i hope.
Oh definitely. PayPal is very kind like that.

Extended Ban
Once again, my ban has been extended. lol
This guy is a total douche. I hope something in his ass pops from the dick he’s got shoved up there.
The reason my ban got extended? “Mouthing off about admin.”
Hmm, last time I checked this was my site and I could talk about whoever I wanted however I wanted.
Once again, his ego is bruised. So what does he do? The only thing he knows how – abuse his staff power.
I want him to stay on staff though. The longer he stays, the more scammers will come and get away with scamming. He’ll chase away(ban) all the good ones and weed everyone out till the forum is filled with crap and dies. It’s easy to see that’s where it’s headed and I hope I’m right. Some idiot reject, Grafstein, has created a thread about my post on crazy_rob. He referred to me as a “Sad Dp Member” with a crappy blog and said I need to get a life.
Really? Last time I checked, I made money off of the thousands of people that visit my blog and I made more than the penny(if he’s lucky) he made from making that stupid thread.
If this blog was crappy, I wouldn’t be making money and the thousands of visitors I get wouldn’t be here.
And you’re telling me i need to get a life? I’m pretty sure you need a life since you’re the one looking up me and my blog and making a thread about it.

Getting Harassment Rep Points
Someone is attacking me by giving me negative rep and posting derogatory comments in my profile for no reason.
Who cares? It’s only reputation which is pretty much useless. Also, reputation isn’t publicly visible so only you(and staff) can see it.
I would like to know how I can go about finding out who this person is and if I have any way to stop this.
Start a thread asking who did it. If that fails, PM every user you have interacted with. If no one comes forward, realize that it’s because no one gives a shit and life goes on.
There’s no way to find out who gave you rep.

Name and Shame Threads – Allowed?
We see a lot of threads about scammers being created. A few posts in you see how the thread starters got an infraction from a staff member for creating that thread, bashing a member.
It doesn’t seem like the staff are on the same page with a lot of things, “Scammer” threads being one of them.
On one hand you have a thread like this and a post like this insinuating it’s allowed then you have a power-hungry little boy like this saying he’ll give you infractions and ban you if he sees those types of threads.
Are they allowed or not? Not sure but I would have thought that a forum like DP would have staff members that converse with one another every now and then like most other forums do.

This is starting to make me happy/mad.
I’m happy that Digital Point is getting theirs and that I have more material to write about, etc. etc but seriously, it’s the same crap over and over again.

I really hate seeing these threads being created.
Idiots that haven’t bothered to use the handy dandy search function and post threads that have already been posted, complete with answers and all.
For all of you that want a sub forum for Sumbles, Diggs, etc., use the search function, realize your dreams are dead and get over the fact that it isn’t going to happen.
It’s been suggested and shot down more than a dozen times. There’s over 20 threads that say it isn’t going to happen.
