Got banned from dp

Posted on June 25th, 2009 in Digital Point Forums by admin

Got banned from DP or what? If you are here reading this post – then surely you might be one of those who might have got banned and trying to find an alternative for DP. Or you might be just looking around what others are saying after they have been banned. Or you might be planning to join those who have left DP after getting banned. If none of the above situations match – then you might be trying to get some information regarding how to avoid DP bans in the future and how to remove the ban that you have got already or at least the period of the ban to some 1-2 weeks if its for more than a month. Yup, sometimes the mods ban people for more than a month. I have heard people saying that they had been banned for about 8 months or so in the past for doing something stupid unknowingly.

Are the mods who are to be blamed?

I don’t think that it is only the mods who should be blamed. Mods won’t ban anyone without reasons. It should be the responsibility of the members to read the rules of the forum – and stick to it while posting there at DP. Even after a lot of crazy bans from the mods, people are still making the same mistakes. I won’t blame the mods – and I have reasons to support it – I have seen threads which are posted by members that are against the rules – like-  some are asking to pm them in threads (which is not allowed in DP) – but still, not all of them are banned. I think mods are giving chances to members before they are banned. We should here what the mods have to say as well – actually they are not bothered about these things – and won’t blame them again – they would be having lots of things to do – DP is a huge forum and controlling it is not a kids game! Members throw frustrtations over the mods after they are being banned – who knows these people might have been banned after giving lots of chances! But they won’t tell about those things while complaining about the mods. At the end of the day, if you are looking to make some good reputation there at DP and trying to stay active there in the community, then follow the DP rules – otherwise get ready to get banned!!!

Making money selling signature links

Posted on June 2nd, 2009 in Digital Point Forums by admin

Hi there,

Have you ever wondered how other fellow members of DP makes so much of money just by posting, posting and posting at DP, and doing nothing other than that? There are many members out there who are with no skills like programming, designing, etc. But still they make money online from DP. But how?

Well, if you are planning to make money from DP like those people, then just do what they are doing ! And there’s nothing more to learn. It’s that simple. I’ll tell you what to do.

—–> Try to do at least 50 posts per day at DP.

I’m not responsible if you get banned for posting crap here and there. I hope you know what to post and where to post ! Well, here is a quick tip :- posting in the general section is a good idea since you’ll find people like you who are looking to just increase thier post !! So, there wou’ll find threads like “which is your favourite website” , “how do you spend your free time ” etc. So, it won’t be difficult for anyone to make at least 50 posts per day.

This way, in 30 days, you’ll be with 1500 posts !! And for 1500 posts, you’ll be getting on an average $ 10 per month for one signature spot. You can place like 4 signature links there in the signature section. So, you’ll be able to sell 4 signature spots!! That means, if you are ready to do 50 posts per day, then you’ll be making  ( 10 X 4 ) = 40 $ per month !!! after doing 1500 posts the first month. If you repeat it the next month, then the number of posts after 2 months will be 3000 and you’ll be getting 80 $ by selling the four signature spots !!! This way, if you continue for 1 year, then you earnings will skyrocket in not time !!!

Not just that, you’ll be getting what is known as those precious I-traders (which many thinks that is of a great value !! ). And thus, like others, you’ll also be treated as a reputed member at DP.

Check out this post if you are one of those who got banned from DP forums.

DP rules making it a place for just experts?

Posted on May 5th, 2009 in Digital Point Forums by admin

Hiya,

If you are a DP-ian, then you would be knowing how often they change rules. Till now they have changed their rules and regulations many times. This doesn’t gonna harm the experts who knows how to deal with things and situations such as these.

Most of the newbies out there think that DP sucks !! But, that’s not the case actually. They are trying to make it a place for experts and also newbies (yes, you read it right) to interact & share information. BUT, they should follow certain rules and regulations. For eg, it is not allowed to reply to a thread, with “pm me more info”, “SOLD”, “reply sent” etc. Just think, what would be a person from some other forum after seeing such threads think about DP, if in a thread, the first 2-3 pages are full of “reply me”, “pm me info ” etc ? They won’t even look at other threads and just leave the place the same moment. AND, dp, doesn’t want this to happen. It wanna make it a place with people who follow certain rules while posting things in the forum. It’s a webmaster forum, after all – it’s not a place for kids (but still there are loads of kids playing around in the BST section)!!! Yup, discipline is a must at DP !!!

DP, definitely is one of the best online webmaster forum. BUT, there are a lot of good members, even experts, who got banned. I just donno why most of them got banned. But, many of them who got banned are still complaining that, they didn’t do anything wrong. They might have, but these according to those people,  might not be a big thing, BUT for DP, it’s a big thing – and if they find anyone doing things that are against their rules, then they will take actions even with closed eyes !!! So, it doesn’t matter even if you are an expert who have been there at DP right from the beginning.

Here are the rules of DP which you should read if you haven’t read till now.

I have found the below quote(not exactly, but similar in meaning) from one of the mods (if I’m correct) in a thread (after a member who got banned for 6 months – started a thread asking  reason why he got banned (haha, his second account also got banned LOL ))  : -

“It’s your responsibility to read the rules before you do something here at DP !! And it’s not the resposibility of the mods to make you read them ”

Umm, is the mod, wrong with such a statement? I don’t think so. He has banned him, and he again created an account (which is also against DP rules !!). He got banned for doing something which was agianst the rules. He got banned for 6 months. Yes, it’s the members’ responsibilty to read the rules!!!

BUT, still, the mods should show some mercy to the members out there. I think the mods should warn a person before banning him. And if he does the same mistake again, then he should be banned. Also, I have seen people who are with more than 3000 posts banned (who had been a member for more than 2-3 years ) !! Why ??? huh !! At least, show some mercy to these fellows, who have been contributing to the community for long years.  Also, it would be better if the mods can tell others why a particular member has been banned (so that others can know a bit about that person , and keep some distance from them, then on. It would help others while doing business with them) Yup, under the username, it usually appears as  just “banned” – try to put the reason also,  there itself.

Man!! I didn’t thought of writing this much !!! True … Let me have ma dinner, By the time, pour in your valuable comments. And ya one more thing, DO YOU know something? digitalpointing was having a Page Rank of 4 earlier, but now this’s  just a PR 1 blog. And the traffic also was better earlier (like more than 1000 visits daily!!!). So, please link us with your site (if you have any – you may even provide a link in your blogger blog.) And comment in the posts, so that others also, do the same and hopefully, we’ll be making this blog as one of the most happening places over the internet soon.

Can DP be made even better?

Posted on May 4th, 2009 in Digital Point Forums by admin

Hi,

DP is no doubt a wonderful place to share and learn information. Not just that, the BIG thing is that – it’s a platform to make money online. BUT you need to be with some sort of skills in order to succeed.

Let’s implement the same facts in another way :-

public function (DP)

{

IF member->skills=TRUE

THEN

{

member->earnings=HIGH

member->reputation=HIGH

member->knowledge=HIGH

}

ELSE

{

member->earnings=LOW;

member->reputation=MID;

member->knowledge=MID or HIGH (depends)

}

}

So that’s it. If you wanna make money, then you need to have some skills in you like designing, internet marketting, blogging, SEO, programming (one of the best), moderating(less scope),  or simply sharing information (this way your reputation will increase soon)

So, people join DP for two reasons :-

1- To make money online

2- Sharing and Learining information. Thus making a good link with other members of the community. To be a part of a big community means — aah it’s a great thing !! Ican’t explain it.

Friends, thanks for getting here and reading this long post. Hope you will pour in some good comments and make the atmosphere a good one here at DPing (digitalpointing)also.    muaaah muaaah muaah LOVE YOU !!!

Today what happened at DP ?

Posted on January 11th, 2009 in Digital Point Forums by admin

Well, everyday something new happens at dp for sure.  As we all know dp or digital point forums is a great place for web master. There are tons of valuable data spread here and there. Each second someone posts something valuable or offers some cool services or sells some really cool ebooks. Well, i think people have stopped selling black hat money making techniques – i donno what happened to those guys – whether banned or not feeling well – umm, anyway  DP’ers are missing them a lot. Well, gone are those days, when there  were those ever growing VCC sales thread, social bookmarking threads and all. Now those things have been stopped. Some people might be having doubts in their mind – why DP don’t ban directory submission works ? and why it banned social bookmarking – well the answer lies in the question itself rite ? I don’t think creating multiple accounts in social bookmarking site is the right way to get traffic – or SEO for our website any person with brain will understand that – on the other hand, in directory submission services there is nothing wrong actually - everything is legal. People are just submitting the websits of others (i mean the dp’ers who are providing directory submission services). So, nothing wrong in that – and thus its still not banned at DP. According to me , DP don’t follow stupid rules – they just do what is good for the community as  a whole. Sometimes some people may not be feeling good with it – but since it’s one of the best webmaster forum out there – DP has to take such measures to make it a really good place to make money online as well as share information and ideas among each other.
