bbrian017 brought something up that I think a lot of people had on their mind.
He asked if users were able to put the link to their website when giving reputation to others.
One of the moderators, GuyFromChicago, said it was okay.
The only people who see reputations are administrators and the users giving and getting the reputation.
The only other way for other people to know what someone sent in a rep is if the person giving or getting it told them.
It’s not really a good idea anyway. People are pretty lazy and links in reputation messages are not clickable.
At least you don’t have to worry about infractions though, right? That’s a first…

Someone is attacking me by giving me negative rep and posting derogatory comments in my profile for no reason.
Who cares? It’s only reputation which is pretty much useless. Also, reputation isn’t publicly visible so only you(and staff) can see it.
I would like to know how I can go about finding out who this person is and if I have any way to stop this.
Start a thread asking who did it. If that fails, PM every user you have interacted with. If no one comes forward, realize that it’s because no one gives a shit and life goes on.
There’s no way to find out who gave you rep.

We’ve all gotten bad red reps from random people, here and there. Hell, I get them ALL the time.
No matter how offensive, crude, ridiculous, untrue, racist, or happy it is – reps will not be deleted or modified!
The staff do not get involved with reputation issues and will not modify it for any reason whatsoever.
Keep that in mind the next time you get a red rep you don’t like and feel like creating a thread about it. It will basically go ignored and you’ll most likely get more red reps just for starting the thread.

One of the easiest way is to just post things that are funny or informative.
If you do transactions in the BST sections, ask for an exchange of iTrader and rep.
You can just go around repping random people and see if they rep you in return. Not a lot of people will reciprocate so make sure you’re repping someone that’s loose with rep.

Just kidding, can’t be done. Well it can be done but it won’t be.
Reputation is given freely from one member to another. If someone feels you deserved a red rep because the font you used was ugly or the link in your signature is a link to a stupid site, they could do it.
The good thing is that reputation doesn’t effect your ability to do things on the forums.
Sure, if you get enough red reps your green blobs will turn red but that’s all.
Just take the red rep and for get about it.
