Scammer Alert: GeauxTigers

Posted on October 29th, 2007 in Scammers by admin

-YaYa- has been scammed by GeauxTigers.

GeauxTigers agreed to send $50 via E-Gold if -YaYa- sent him $50 via PayPal.

-YaYa- sent the funds immediately but GeauxTigers failed to send his payment.

After sending a number of ignored PMs to GeauxTigers, -YaYa- has been forced to open a dispute with PayPal.

On a side note, GeauxTigers has just joined and has a total of 14 posts. I say -YaYa- had this coming.

Not really a scammer, more of a spammer. He seems to be someone to watch out for though.

drapton seems to be PMing random people with his PayPal address, thinking he made a deal with the person he’s spamming, when the person he’s spamming hasn’t even heard of him.

Scammed by sundaybrew!

Posted on October 9th, 2007 in Scammers by admin

Yes, sundaybrew, the guy that got the tattoo of DigitalPoint and Shoemoney.

I’m not surprised at all. His attitude was similar to mine, which is something I don’t like and people don’t like dealing with(I’m not going to lie, it’s true).

His high iTrader hides a total of 12 negative iTraders, all given to him by people who claim to be scammed by him.

His latest scam was on another “veteran” member, Michael_Goldman.

The two of them had a deal months ago and sundaybrew didn’t hold up his end, failing to pay Michael_Goldman a “couple hundred bucks”.

He has also scammed Pammer, tesla and aditya_sfs out of money paid for articles he promised to write.

He offered custom 12 page niche sites for $45. honey, tastysites and CPW-Carl ordered sites but never received them.

Just goes to show you, even though a member is well reputed, well known and well liked, they can scam your ass! Be careful when doing deals with EVERYONE.

Remember to always check their iTrader and do a search of their name in the forums and possibly Google.

Beware of WishBone1

Posted on October 9th, 2007 in Scammers by admin

ezguy asked for a designer, WishBone1 came to the rescue.

WishBone1 ailed to deliver the goods on time though and ezguy quickly assumed he was being scammed so he started a thread calling WishBone1 a scammer, saying he has a fake profile and don’t deal with him. He also referred to WishBone1 as a bastard and asshole numerous amounts of time, which in my opinion is juvenile and just stupid.

Who was the first to reply to ezguy’s thread? Robert a.k.a. WishBone1.

He explained how he already told ezguy it would be a few more hours, which ezguy confirmed, and the tables quickly turned. In no time, ezguy came out looking like the scammer, or perhaps just a hostile buyer.

I replied saying how I don’t see how ezguy was cheated and ezguy was quick to assume I was WishBone1 “supporting myself” and asked me for his money.

Someone, who I can only assume is ezguy, posted in the thread saying WishBone1 has done the same thing to him.

I seriously don’t know who to believe…You draw your own conclusion.

In my opinion, I just think WishBone1 wasn’t prompt and ezguy got frustrated and was just quick to assume. That’s all the thread was full of – assumptions.

theholst has scammed $20 from Blogsip in a contest.

Blogsip‘s design was chosen in the contest, used on theholst‘s site but was never paid.

A bunch of PMs were sent but never responded to. A reply in the contest thread was made but again, went ignored.

theholst‘s Last Activity: Today 5:23 pm

It’s been a week and no response. Definitely a scammer.

damien hired some people to post videos on his site. After the videos were posted, no one heard from him.

Before that, he bought a database from ashish1987 and said it wasn’t worth the money then left ashish1987 a negative iTrader.

proxymess

Posted on September 27th, 2007 in Scammers by admin

proxymess has scammed Tech Entrance out of $199 via PayPal.

Tech Entrance did a site for proxymess and proxymess opened a dispute in PayPal upon receiving the payment.

Although Tech Entrance sent PayPal all information needed for him to win the dispute, Paypal went against him and favoured proxymess instead.

Now this guy is quite good at what he does.

I’ve seen him complain about being scammed, gain sympathy then turn around and scam users himself.

Taking a look at his iTrader, all he seems to do is sell MySpace bulletins, never send out the bulletins and keep the money.

Still, a scammer is a scammer.

hristofor has scammed workathomeshop out of $50.

He agreed to a service offered here but instead, took workathomeshop‘s money and left. He even closed his PayPal account!

How desperate are you that you scam someone out of only $50? Quite sad. I wish him all the best…

He agreed to sell funindya his site’s database for $50.

After receiving payment via PayPal, he ignored funindya and didn’t give her/him the product.

He also said he notified the police. That’s the first time I heard of a scammer notifying authority. haha

He also scammed cmorley out of $500.

Notsofast

Posted on September 25th, 2007 in Scammers by admin

Notsofast ran a referral contest a while back.

I know I vouched for him in that thread but he bought that site from someone who trusted him so I thought I could as well.

Notsofast was M.I.A. on his forums but he appeared every so often. I personally asked if the contest was still going and if the winner would actually get the prize. Right away, he said, “Of course”. He then went missing again, sort of. He wasn’t responding to the complaints about the contest but he was still around. When I looked at his profile his last activity was current. It’s irritating to see that he was online yet made no effort to complete the contest or just give an explanation.

Anyway, it’s been 3 months since the contest ended and no one has heard a word from him about the contest. The other admin compiled a list of the winners and gave it to Notsofast but he just ignored it.

I just think it’s completely unfair for him to do this to the people who actually tried. Looks like all he wanted was traffic for free. I’d stay away from doing business with this guy or participating in any of his “contests”.

Yet another scammer. This has got to be my favourite though. He’s one of the most pathetic ones out there. Why? He scammed forumrating for 50 cents! *laugh out loud*

How sad does your life have to be to even think that you’re going to scam someone out of 50 cents? Pretty sad. I actually don’t know who I feel more sorry for, the scammed or the scammer.

Scammed By Dp Member – $110

Posted on September 19th, 2007 in Scammers by admin

dg0896 scammed tanujdude91 for $110.

dgo896 agreed to give tanujdude91 a vBulletin license within 20 days but never responded to his PMs.

In all fairness, this guy had it coming. Why would you pay him before you had the license?

Always review the person’s iTrader when doing deals. If tanujdude91 had done that, he would have seen that dg0896 has 5 negative iTraders.

If you’re familiar with DP, you’re familiar with the Quick Buck Crew.

This is a website that reports on scammers across the Digital Point forums so if you’re curious as to who not to do business with, take some time to visit it.

If you just want to see a quick list of scammers, take a look at this list that I’ve compiled. The list is updated whenever a new scammer is found.
